If incredible florals are a must for your day, you neeeeeed to take a look at the wonderful Amanda Winsor.
The first time I met Amanda was at a wedding event at the stunning Powderham Castle. Her jaw-droppingly beautiful stand was breath-taking, and the design that stole the stage for me was the handbag and shoe set all made from flowers. Just incredible.
Amanda works from her pretty scent filled studio in Exminster near Exeter. She says:
I have a passion for all things floral, taking most of my inspiration from nature, which I feel is God’s garden. I love to use plant materials that are in season, as they seem just to fit.
Going one step further though, Amanda also grows her own seasonal flowers, supports other local flower growers where possible, and in addition sources other flowers from around the world for a full range of floral design possibilities.
Aside from her very obvious skills and experience, Amanda is an Academic Fellow of the Institute of Professional Florists, member of the British Flower Association AND a member of the British Flower Collective
As if you needed any more convincing that she’s the real deal, Amanda is the in-house florist at Paschoe House, a boutique hunting lodge in Bow, AND she’s won Gold medal at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, and a Silver Gilt and Bronze Medal at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, as well as having had her work featured in industry magazines.
So, go take a peek at Amanda’s website and give her a shout if you’re after beautiful blooms <3
