Fiona and Jonathan’s snowy Dartington Hall wedding!

Oh my goodness, I just smiled my way through Fiona and Jonathan’s gallery!  Such smiles and happiness, what a joy to see.

This is a timely wedding to share, as this lovely pair tied the knot at Dartington Hall last March just in time for the UK to get blanketed in snow (even Cornwall, which is unheard of!).

Captured so beautifully by Emma Stoner, who has such an eye for storytelling and making you feel you were there yourself.

Enjoy…

What they wore

House of Mooshki Sarah dress in apricot from Prudence Gowns, with alterations and decorated sash from Alterations by Alicia (fabulous dressmaker). The flower girls wore John Lewis dresses and capes and the groom and page boys suits by Jonathan Hawkes.

Hair and make up

My lovely friend the amazing Jen Barnes.

Flowers

Gill Majoram (now semi-retired – a friend of my Mum’s). We went for peach, apricot and cream as the colours, and she gave great advice (including where to buy good value vases and table decorations – Michael Dark Florists Wholesalers. Even though they are wholesale they sell to the general public too).

Stationery

We did our own.  The children’s party bags were provided by The Parent and Child Wedding Agency.

Food & Drink

Dartington Hall.

Entertainment

Music by Solar; Casino by Julie Elson (Queen of Hearts); Fireworks by Pyrotechnic Celebrations

Photography

Emma Stoner. Emma was great and we love her photos.

Cake

By my very talented sister-in-law Shami Kesav-Bramall.

Special touches

We had wedding nannies provided by The Parent and Child wedding Agency. They were brilliant and provided a superb service so all the parents could benefit from the party without worrying.

Favourite part of the day

It was all brilliant (of course!) but my highlights were the ceremony and then the fireworks. By then the snow was falling and it was magical. It was also very special having so many wonderful people all in the same room.

Advice to others

I know the standard advice is to relax and enjoy it, but I did find some of it quite overwhelming – it’s a big day! Everyone’s wedding is so individual that it’s impossible to give advice. But I would recommend wedding nannies if you have lots of little guests!
